The UX Specialist should be able to produce personas, usage scenarios, sitemaps, content outlines, taxonomies and wireframes, as well as conduct usability testing on prototypes or finished products—to assess the quality of user experience and provide insight from user research and workflow analyses. The ideal candidate must have a passion for usability, creating visually consistent content, and an ability to reduce anything of a complex nature down to beautifully simplistic designs that drive engagement and high-value user behavior.
The UX Specialist must have strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment, work within deadlines, think independently, and ask the right questions.
Understand client requirements, interpret creative briefs, specifications, content outlines, and translate information into documents such as a sitemaps and wireframes
Assess existing sites for usability, design, content, and branding and make recommendations accordingly
Coordinate and communicate with creative, technical, strategic and project management teams
Lead user research and usability testing when needed or appropriate
Assist in gathering and reviewing requirements from business stakeholder interviews and user analysis
Create wireframes, site maps, schematics, process maps, feature lists, mockups, visual specification, personas, interaction design specifications and other artifacts to fully detail the intended user experience
Annotate functional requirements for development
Utilize qualitative and quantitative research to create compelling online
experiences that generate business results
Communicate clearly and work collaboratively within the established agency processes, with various project teams and clients
Maintain excellent time management skills with the ability to manage priorities in order to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Possess a broad understanding of interface design for multiple platforms: websites, custom applications/platforms, mobile apps, etc.
Must present a portfolio of work demonstrating ability to create usable products and
clean documentation (wireframes, sitemaps, and flowcharts).
Expertise in user-centered design methods (wireframing and rapid prototyping in
Adobe XD, Axure or similar tool), user research (surveys, stakeholder interviews, and remote
usability testing), and usability best practices.
Proficiency in Industry standard tools (Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch etc.)
Self-directed, proactive, responsible, and able to meet deadline and budget
requirements. Comfortable working with tight deadlines and multiple projects in
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, written, problem solving, oral
and diagrammatic communication skills
Excellent communicative, collaborative, and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s degree or post graduate degree
(Coursework in interaction design, human computer interaction, cognitive science, or information architecture will be considered an asset.)
This freelance arrangement will run from March to June 2018. We request that the freelancer be on site at Dudnyk’s offices in Horsham, PA
