Account Supervisor

We're looking for an Account Supervisor to join one of the industry's strongest agency teams. The Account Supervisor will ensure that our client needs are met strategically and tactically, maintain an effective level of direct contact with our clients and will monitor and guide the account team’s daily activities.  The Account Supervisor bears final responsibility for the account's growth and profitability, and the development of the account.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong relationships with senior client personnel
  • Ensures client relations are positive and stable; and that management is immediately informed of any potential problems, budget overruns, etc.
  • Reviews strategies and recommends improvements
  • Reviews campaign conceptual directions to ensure strategic marketing objectives remain in focus
  • Ensures client needs are properly and efficiently staffed
  • Oversee the activities of direct reports (as applicable) in coordinating all digital and print deliverables on behalf of assigned brand(s)
  • Coaches and provides feedback daily and as needed to account executives; guides direct reports in career and skills development
  • Work closely with supervisor and project management to monitor job costs vs. estimates
  • Work with account team to establish strategies for development of media plans and evaluation of their effectiveness; assist in assessment of on-going programs with client
  • Monitors accounts receivable and credit-worthiness of accounts
  • Ensures that financial management of accounts meets agency standards
  • Leads in agency/client contract negotiations
  • Seeks out new business opportunities and plays a leading role in their development
  • Participates in Agency/Client Performance Plan reviews
  • Approves expense disbursements from account executives

  • Proven abilities of financial accountability (with client and agency budgets)
  • Ability to travel on as-needed basis
  • Advanced verbal and written communications skills
  • Product launch and new business development experience is preferred

​Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree, with coursework emphasis in communications, advertising, or science
  • 5+ years agency pharma account management experience
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience with team-building skills and mentoring abilities
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-channel marketing, including social media
  • MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
