Group Account Supervisor

Group Account Supervisor

The Group Account Supervisor will ensure that our client needs are met strategically and tactically, maintain an effective level of direct contact with our clients, and will monitor and guide the account team’s daily activities. This individual will be required to establish and maintain positive and effective client/agency relationships.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure client satisfaction
  • Be the expert on the client’s business
  • Leads and owns tactical brand planning and budget planning with agency colleagues
  • Contributes strategically to all work/deliverables including effectively evaluating creative
  • Ensures that assigned agency team delivers for clients, ensuring all work is on strategy, on time, and on budget
  • Leads meetings and contributes strategically not only in tactics but also brand positioning and brand plans
  • Supervisor responsible for management and assigned account staff and for oversight of day-to-day work
  • Is a role model for professional skills
  • Displays a personal ownership and responsibility for the brand
  • Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of assigned brands, market dynamics and clinical data
  • Has thorough knowledge of key competitors and customer insights
  • Establishes collaborative partnerships with all day-to-day functional agency team leads (Strategy, Creative, Science, Project Management)


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Must possess a deep and thorough understanding of the pharma/healthcare advertising industry with experience working in the oncology category
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in managing clients and 2-4 direct account reports
  • Marketing acumen and demonstrated experience in contributing as part of an integrated agency team in brand planning, budget development, execution and measurement
  • Demonstrated success at developing valued relationships with clients
  • Demonstrated success as strategic partner to clients
  • Digital and multi-channel experience
  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build clear, compelling presentation decks
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong financial acumen - demonstrated success in ensuring cost effectiveness and productivity


Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 7+ years of agency account management experience, with at least five years of pharmaceutical advertising experience
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience developing, producing and leading multi-channel marketing solutions required
  • Experience working on oncology brands required; launch experience a plus
  • Candidates must demonstrate hands-on proficiency in developing and delivering presentations in PowerPoint
  • Must be open to travel as required from time to time
