Do you have a keen eye for design and art direction? Do you dream of working on award-winning healthcare creative, supporting a team of talented writers and art directors, across multiple brands?

We are searching for an Associate Art Director to join our team. Working in a supportive role, being guided by an Art/Copy Team, the Associate Art Director will assist in delivering innovative, compelling creative solutions grounded in an understanding of the science, strategy, and goals of the assigned project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personally work on the identity and graphic development of at least one brand.
  • Partner with copywriter(s) to develop original creative concepts and executions.
  • Possess solid understanding of the science and market dynamics of assigned product(s).
  • Recommend optimal designs and executions, both digital and print-based.
  • Stay current on the latest trends for type, color, composition, and techniques to consistently present unique, smart, award-winning work.
  • Assist in delivering creative presentations to client.
  • Assist in directing photographers, illustrators, and freelancers as needed.
  • Assist creative director(s) with agency work, including new business, as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in the Adobe suite of products.
  • Mastery of composition techniques (multiple elements and interactive pieces) to produce polished finished pieces, with strong attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive computer photo-retouching and imaging development skills.
  • In-depth understanding of color theory and color relationships, typographic terms, page composition, knowledge of production techniques, and photographic process.
  • Proven ability to design for multi-channels, including digital.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective direction at photo shoots, organize and prepare files for output, review and approve dielines and proofs, and communicate knowledge of assigned product(s).
  • Ability to present concepts to internal and external audiences.
